Cha-Om Omelette
G’day it’s Kiet here once again. Welcome to my Jolly Kitchen. Have a look at this beautiful omelette in the background. That’s right, we are going to make it today.
Alright, lately I have been giving you a rather more complex recipe. Today we are going to tone it down and pull it back to the ground at basic level. With a few ingredients yet we can put out a wonderful delicious dish. Let’s see if you can pull this off.
Ingredients
4 large eggs
200g or a small bunch of Cha-om
1 tsp oyster sauce
1 tsp fish sauce
½ tsp white pepper powder
How to make
Crack 4 eggs into a bowl, ensuring no shells are present.
Season the eggs with 1 tsp oyster sauce, 1 tsp fish sauce, and 1/2 tsp white pepper powder. Whisk the ingredients together until well combined.
Heat a saucepan over low heat, add cooking oil and wait for it to heat up.
Carefully pour the egg mixture into the pan and add a generous amount of green Cha-om leaves into the omelette. Be sure to not turn the heat too high as the eggs cook easily and can burn.
Use a spatula to jolt around the omelette and cook until the bottom is golden brown.
Carefully flip the omelette to the other side and cook for another 2-3 minutes until it is golden brown.
Remove the omelette from the heat and serve. Enjoy!
