  • Shallot ¼ cup

  • Mint 10 leaves

  • Sawtooth coriander (Culantro) 10 leaves

  • Chive/spring onion for wrapping

How to make

  1. In a large bowl, combine the minced pork, fish sauce, chilli flake, toasted rice, chopped shallot, mint leaves, and sawtooth coriander.

  2. Take one sheet of spring roll pastry and place a spoonful of the filling in the center.

  3. Fold the wrapper over the filling and roll it up to form a cylinder.

  4. Cut the cylinder in half and wrap the two halves around each other, tucking in the ends. Repeat with the remaining sheets and filling.

  5. Heat oil in a wok or a deep saucepan until it reaches a temperature of 175°C.

  6. Deep-fry the wontons in batches until they are golden brown and crispy, around 2-3 minutes.

  7. Remove the wontons from the oil and drain on a paper towel to remove any excess oil.

  8. Serve hot with a dipping sauce of your choice.
