Orange Bread Pudding

Orange Bread Pudding

This is probably my most chronological recipe from wanting to make orange candied then branching out onto something totally different. I was thinking what would happen if I put bread and orange together? Needlessly to say, I quickie hop on google looking for bread pudding recipes. There are some interesting crafts out there for this delicious dish but if you know me, I like to add a little bit of a twist. Today I will make my own version of bread pudding with elements of Asian cuisine inspired. Hope you like what you see here and if you feel like wanting a peak before jump right into it. Ingredients

  • 5 slices bread

  • 4 eggs

  • 250 ml coconut cream

  • 125 ml orange syrup

  • 5 orange candied slices

  • A pinch of salt

How to make

  • To start, preheat your oven to 180°C. Cut the bread slices into triangle shapes and line them up in a baking dish. In between each triangle, place the candied orange slices.

  • In a mixing bowl, crack the eggs, add in the coconut cream, orange syrup and a pinch of salt. Whisk until well combined.

  • Pour the mixture over the bread triangles, making sure they are well coated. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the mixture is set.

  • Remove from the oven and let it cool down before serving. Enjoy your homemade Asian inspired bread pudding with a twist of orange candied.
