Thai Sun Dried Pork
Hi there internet family. I hope you are doing well. As we know that it is such a challenging time due to the coronavirus pandemic. Some of us maynot be fortunate to keep their jobs, or lose their loved ones. It is a great time to show kindness and keep yourself safe. Stay home, watch your hand and practice social-distancing. We are in this together.
Ingredients
1kg pork neck
3 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tsbp salt
6-8 garlic cloves
2 tbsp sesame seeds
How to make
Start by peeling and crushing the garlic and black pepper, if using. Set aside.
Cut the pork neck into long strips and add it to a mixing bowl.
Add the crushed garlic, oyster sauce, salt, sugar, and sesame seeds to the pork. Mix well and make sure the marinade coats the pork evenly.
Skewer the pork strips on the bamboo skewers.
Place the skewers on a cloth rack and cover it with mosquito net sheets and ziplock bags to keep the pesky insects away.
Now it's time to let the sun do its magic! Take the rack outside and let the pork dry in the sun for a few hours.
Once the pork is dry, it's time to cook! Heat oil in a pan on medium heat and fry the pork until golden brown. This step will make your kitchen smell amazing!
Let the pork cool down a bit before serving. Enjoy your homemade sun-dried pork as a snack or side dish.
