BBQ Squid Thai Style
Hello there, welcome to Jolly Kitchen, it’s me Kiet once again. In the next ten minutes, you will learn how to make a simple BBQ squid Thai style with super delicious secret seafood dipping sauce. Without further ado, let’s get started!
Ingredients
Squid and marinade ingredients
3-4 large squid
2tbsp turmeric powder
1 ½ tbsp black sweet soy sauce
100ml water
Dipping Sauce Ingredients
5-6 Bird’s eye chilli
3-4 pineapple chunks/ slices
4 garlic cloves
4 tbsp fish sauce
3 tbsp lime juice
100ml warm water
3-4 coriander roots
2-3 coriander stems and leaves
How to make
Clean and prepare squid by removing the head and internal organs, making markings on the tube, and cleaning with salt and tapioca flour.
Marinate squid in a mixture of turmeric powder and sweet soy sauce for 15-20 minutes.
To make the dipping sauce, blend together chilli, pineapple, garlic, coriander roots, lime juice, and fish sauce. Season to taste.
Cook squid on a hot pan or grill until just cooked through, being careful not to overcook.
Serve with the dipping sauce and enjoy.
