Spaghetti Chicken Basil

Our culture is based on food and we are connected through it. It has always been a major influence in our life since we could remember. Today I will link Asian street food with one of the most popular western dishes ' spaghetti'.

Ingredients:

  • 150 g spaghetti

  • 200 g chicken thigh fillet

  • 1 handful of holy basil

  • 1 ½ tbsp oyster sauce

  • 1 tbsp fish sauce

  • 1 tsp chicken stock powder

  • 5-6 birdseye chili (or more if desired)

  • 4 cloves garlic

How to make

  1. Boil the spaghetti according to the package instructions until cooked al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. Cut the chicken thigh fillet into bite-sized pieces.

  3. Mince the garlic and cut the birdseye chili into thin slices.

  4. In a hot wok, add some oil and sauté the garlic until fragrant.

  5. Add the chicken pieces and stir-fry until they turn opaque and start to brown.

  6. Add the oyster sauce, fish sauce, chicken stock powder, and birdseye chili. Stir to mix well.

  7. Add the cooked spaghetti and continue to stir-fry until the sauce is well distributed and the spaghetti is evenly coated.

  8. Turn off the heat, add the holy basil and give a quick stir.
